Hey, right off the bat, this one is a little slapdash. Like, obviously if you've made it to episode 56, you've come to expect that, but more than usual, we had some technical difficulties and John just finished a move, so we had to knock this one out with not much thought or prep. That doesn't stop us from insinuating that the Cars have retractable mouth hands or that they keep Lin-Manuel Miranda prisoner to rewrite human musicals for the Carfolk. You could never stop us from saying those things. Don't even try. Oh, also the episode is about Art, I guess?

That's right, we've invented a new mini-series of episodes where we analyze the possibilities of different shows, movies, and other media as prequels to Cars, Or-Engine Stories! (Side note: If you can think of a better name for it, send it our way. This is not a joke. We do not like this name.) To start it off, we decided to look at one of our favorites, Pacific Rim! Join us as we look at how the Precursors could have come back, assimilated with the human race, and created a society of people permanently drifting with their cars. Listen. I don't know enough about The Secret Life of Pets to make any quality jokes in this description about it. So I'm not gonna, because it's season two of The Ka-Chat now, and we're getting serious. No beating around the bush. This one is about pets, but honestly, we mostly talk about a single bicycle that John had as a kid that looked a little bit like a motorcycle. We get so caught up in it that we start to create a half-baked "Beastly" rip-off around it. Not even half-baked. Like, an eighth-baked, tops.
